DiRT Showdown is a video game driving , developed and published by Codemasters for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 May 25, 2012 in Europe and May 29, 2012 in North America. It is not the direct result of DiRT 3, but a spin-off of the very arcade series Colin McRae Rally .
DiRT Showdown is an arcade racing game purely based on crazy races and accidents. The realistic simulation is set aside in this title, which presses the accelerator instead on the most spectacular races , focusing on fights, accidents and electrifying speed . The game allows you to drive various categories of vehicles within the arenas , alignments, and various types of racing set on the demolition and speed, with the use of nitro . The career mode allows you to travel the world experiencing more than 50 different events, while the multiplayer offers a multitude of different ways between online and offline to 8 players in split screen . DiRT Showdown is also the first game to come out under the new label Codemasters Racing , which will be adopted for the production of future driving titles in development at the British home .
In the game there are three categories of events : races with ramps, multiple routes and obstacles, the demolition derby , where the player must destroy the opponent vehicles , the Hoonigan , driving freestyle races set in large parks. Through integration with YouTube you can upload online video game like DiRT 3 . Among the new features stand out Showdown Challenges which are playable both online and offline.
